Why do you want to join the Cult?: The Cult was one of the first guild that caught my interest since I started to RP as Horde on Defias. I've tried to make a priest to let him join but couldn't think of something properly to it so instead I'm going with my lock
How did you come to learn about the Cult: Can't remember exactly, but when I was just starting to RP as Horde on Defias I noticed them.
Other: I have played WoW since the Shadow of the Necropolis patch came out (Can't remember exactly when that was, so you'll have to figure yourself xD). I just started RPing last year, but as Alliance. I first really started my Horde RP last Christmas.

IC application:
Zed was born and raised in Andorhal. At a young age, he manage to conjure a flame which started to burn his house which spread to the local barn. The villagers panicked and after putting out the fire they threatened him to leave the city.
His parents sent him in the direction of Dalaran in hope for him to control his power.

He arrived at Dalaran and the wizards took him in to teach him. But as he learned to control it he also grew fond of creating it and started another fire in the city. The fire spread towards the Violet Hold. The wizards conjured water elementals and created a blizzard to stop it from reaching the hold. When the mages finally manage to put out the fire, they locked Zed in a cell in the Underbelly.
There he spent years, burning any living insects he saw entering the cell. One day he heard screams and buildings collapse. The walls crashed and as he escaped to the surface, he saw the city being attacked by undead. As an instinct he just shoot fire in whichever way he saw an undead. Their numbers was limitless though and eventually overwhelmed him.

He was raised as an undead himself after that and joined the ranks of the Scourge. As many broke free from the Lich King's will, so too did he and have been wandering alone ever since in search for a purpose to give his afterlife a reason. He had hoped that the cult could give him one.

Hi Zarem,

In reading your application, I notices that, while you answered the questions, you didn't really manage to give us a feel of you, or your character, however I would be interested in getting to know you on a more, "personal" basis, so if you possibly whisper me in-game for a chat when I'm online!

I would suggest perhaps adding a section as to why Zed would want to join the cult, a highly xenophobic religious organization that frowns upon anything not purely shadow .. with a few notable exceptions (Solanna :p )


Other than that, I hope you get the chance to contact one of the officers after your application is added to and re-reviewed.

Small edit in the end. I'm not sure if it's good enough but I do hope so.

The edit, while effective for giving your character a possible reason to look for the Cult, still doesn't tell us WHY he would want to join the cult in general.

Keep trying

The story is a bit hectic indeed, and no real reason to join the ranks of the Cult is mentioned, yet I find it better than my own application.

The Cult of Shadow is very religious "organisation" that doesn't suffer heretics and the like. The word of the Shadow is the only truth.

So I agree with Ravie here.
