OOC information

Character name: Edria
Class: Priest(ess)

Why do you want to join the Cult?
I have already joined the cult with Stewey. I would like to expand my membership with a new character, a character that will come with a more thorough background, story and plan. As often is the case with roleplaying, it is an experience one can enjoy more profoundly when influenced and shared with a roleplaying community. And I hope to find the right community for this character in the Cult of Shadow.

The story of my Priestess would focus around the evolution, from Priestess of the Light with an innocent past, to a dark mind of the Shadow brooding on revenge, I always envisioned the best setting would be a community of fellow Shadow Cult roleplayers. The character was conceived with the Cult of Shadow in mind as the community surrounding her.
She is as much designed for the Cult of Shadow, as the Cult of Shadow has been integrated in my roleplay plans for her.

How did you come to learn about the Cult
*leans back, closes his eyes and reminisces on the past*
Ahh yes.. It was a long time ago. The first encounter would date back to my first experiences as a Priest on the Alliance end where we fought the dreaded Cult of Shadow. My first experiences with the Cult were through RP-PvP.

A while ago I felt like exploring Forsaken RP, and joined the Cult with Stewey. I found it to my liking, and also grew found of the guild and its leadership. While my officer responsibilities on alliance side drove me from logging on Stewey, I sought to keep in touch.

Part of that contact yielded us the campaign in the Western Plaguelands, where the Cult of Shadow killed two of my characters (Frank, Pierce), and where my former alliance main (Jeanpierre) seemed to have made a name for himself.

Anything else you'd like us to know?
I have a clear goal in mind for my character. While I do not mean to impose her storyline on anyone, I do hope to engage people along. I hope some initiative can be permitted, provided all the IC rules for it are followed (of course!).
The storyline I have in mind could embark any willing participant on an engaging story that will bring us through a witch, power and blood hunt throughout Azeroth. I would like this project to include a long term campaign, including PvP events, PvE events and storytelling nights.
Any tasks, duties and responsibilities required to acquire such liberty IC will be worked for.

Aside from the roleplay, I would love to find an Arena partner in the guild. I play at a casual level, mind, but would thoroughly love to continue a weekly, casual, Arena training. Both 2v2 and 3v3 appeal to me!

IC application
I would prefer the actual interview to be used as the IC application. Perhaps I can offer a story that might provide the lead in for the interview, instead. It is the final chapter of her background, the introduction to her new undead life.

The raindrops drummed on her skull, producing a dull beating from the gaping hole that was her mouth. Rot and mud had glued her thinning hair to her skull. As the wind swept by, bereft of its power to feel cold or harsh, a few drops of rain were hurled off her nose, chin and drooping hair. As they splashed in a puddle of mud before her, she wondered how long she had been sitting there. She couldn't remember but she remember asking herself that question before, and remember not having moved since.

Her greyed out skin and cold body resembled more a stone statue, sunk in the muddied land than the remnant of a once graceful priestess of the Light. Her ragged clothes still bore the mark of the knife that had slain her. Little else could be made of the robes, decayed with time and the same rot that infected the land. All seemed in state of decay, except for the cold, stone building in front of her. The Church of Deathknell. Voices boomed from its hall. Dead voices."To follow the virtue's is to reach ascension".

She remembered such teaching from life in service of the Light. But she also remembered the orders that served it. The orders she once served. She was held in check, captive, enslaved with chains named duty, codes, oats... few of them truly reflecting the Virtues of the Light. Only to be murdered by people who put her in these chains. Betrayed, stabbed, murdered. For no reason other than their glory.

... The injustice.
The word lingered in her mind, like a dark echo slowly blurring out till all that remains is a reverberating tone, the tone being a grim emotion that gripped her soul with a stone cold hand. She remembered the burning sensation in her lungs, the suffocation from frustrated emotions, being frozen by anger and injustice to a point one couldn't breathe. A sensation, now only accessible by her mind as a distant memory of a life long lost. But the anger, the frustration... those sensations remained.

The memories of injustice, all that she had lost at the betrayal, her mother, her life, her friends and all distant sensations of what emotions her memories carried trickled off her like the raindrops trickling from her muddied hair. Slowly the drops gathered, forming a dark pool of waste and mud before her dead eyes. A tangible pool of all that had rendered her life meaningless. She slammed a bony fist in the pool of muddy water.

Had she given into wrath, perhaps it would have been different. She corrected that thought. A realisation dawned on her with a grim resolve. Her body lacked the ability, but her mind remembered how such a realisation would spark her body alive with warmth, motivation and a sense of duty. Duty. Yes! Duty. She had sworn to a duty. A duty she still could serve. There was still a chance for Compassion. A chance for justice. She stared at her rotting hands, her cold stare lacking the grim smile she would have produced when living.

... Justice... I can deliver.
The thought lingered in her mind, its echo slowly blurring out to a sensation of conviction and serenity. Her life was rendered meaningless. Her death would not. The injustice of it would be undone. Their life was filled with treachery and false words. The Light had abandoned her in life, and ultimately in her death.
Words boomed from the Church in Deathknell: "The followers of the false Light are deluded, blinded..."
She glanced at the entrance of the Church, not knowing if the words she heard were those of the speaker inside or the voice in her mind: "Never trust these living, nor their motives".

The shadowy powers animated her bones to a standing position and she faced the Church of Deathknell. She beheld once more at the miracle of her body, moved by powers of the Shadow, moving lightly without restrictions, without the limitations that had once jailed her in life. More words came from the Church: the Shadow wills it!

Approved by me tooo ofc! Without a doubt. xD
I see no problems coming in an interview, but like to do it still. Won't be with me, I think, unless Dund and Mali and Drazhk and Ravie are unavailable for a long time XD

Thank you all for the support! I'm looking forward of getting into action, and eagerly await the interview.
I've been given an OOC invite, but I will not consider this IC nor RP on my char until the interview can be taken. Meanwhile I hope I'll be forgiven for wearing the guild tabard OOCly while questing and PvP'ing to increase my guild reputation farm. I will, however, abide by the OOC and IC codes of conduct of the guild at all times. (Not all people may see the TRP2 "OOC" flag, or not see it in time).
