OOC information

Character name: Drackulis
Class:Rogue

Why do you want to join the Cult?:

I wish to experience some quality RP'ing and to have fun. Smile
(I'm very interested in the Lore, and I am quite experienced with it, so I think that RP'ing should not be a problem haha.)
And...
I love Forsaken.

How did you come to learn about the Cult:

I have read about it on the Defias RP forums, and have read the "Tirisfal Times"

Anything else you'd like us to know?

I have an issue about being an active player. I go to a boarding school in England, and there the Internet does not let me connect up to WoW. However, recently the issue has been gone, then returned. I will attempt to fix this, however I don't know how much time it will take.
On holidays, I'm a very active player, playing about 4-5-6 hours every day. ( Holidays are every 5-6 weeks, and I will be active DEFINITELY during this time)
I'm interested in all the aspects of the game.

IC application:

Death.
What was it? Was it salvation from the horrors of the world? Or was it damnation after a foul, evil living. He did not know, but he desired it. Where he was now, anyone would have wanted it.
There was blood anywhere. His blood. But he couldn't die, no. He was kept alive by the cultists for their experiments. Twisted, foul, sick experiments.

He felt pain.

Blood sprayed the black walls once more.
He knew this was reality, but he wished it was not. He wished, believed that it was not: the only hope he was clinging to in this nightmare.

Hope.

What was there in that? Was it manipulation by one's own thoughts associated to horror, and missbelief of what was happening? Or was it the only thing mortals could cling to in their time of dying?

"There was no hope."

A whisper was filling his head. He felt the pain easing up and he looked at his interrogator. He was still slowly cutting his stomach open. A distorted smile was on his lips. His eyes were shining with a sick satisfaction.

A sudden hate filled him.

"They're not going to kill you, you know?"
The whisper returned.
"They're going to torture you, cut you, make you bleed out, but they will not let you die."
"They are going to turn you into a mindless slave of the so-called "Dark Lord" they praise"
"You can escape." "Let me fill your thoughts." "Let go of your sanity."No one cares about you anymore." "Succumb to the insanity."

The whisper stopped.

"Let me free you."
This time it was not a whisper. It was a voice.
"If you let me into your thoughts, I can free you of this nightmare"

How?

He felt the voice coming closer to him.
"I will free you of this if you let me." "Let go."
And so he did.
A sudden emptyness filled him. He wasn't in the torture chamber anymore. He was in a dark room, where there were no lights. Yet he could see everything. There was a single table in the room....Was it a room? There were no walls.
A single cloaked figure stood behind the table.
"Sit down."
The voice was now real, not only in his head, but spoken from the figure. He took a wary step forward and sat down. He opened his mouth to talk, but he couldn't. There was no space here. No sound could be heard.

But how did the figure talk?

"You wish to know how I talk here?"
"I am the master of this domain. This realm is the manifestation of what I am and what I will be, and.....of what I was."
He felt an unease fill him at the figure's last words.
"I wish to free you."

Why?

"That does not matter right now. In time, you will see."
"You will be freed from the schackles of the Lich King, living or otherwise."
"However"

He feld dread.

"This comes with a price. You are to serve me, but I will not force you. You will retain your free will if you wish, but if you do not serve me I will grant you unending pain and suffering."
"And..."

"Because of the issues of mortals: love, hate, jealousy, hope.... You will not be living."
The silence that followed seemed like eternity.
"Gladly." Drackulis answered.

Dear Cult,
I was tortured by the Cult of the Damned, but I was saved by the Shadow, or so I believe. I wish to learn more of it, and I wish for you to accept me into your organisation so I can learn more. I am an assassin, and I believe I would be a worthy lightslayer.

I await your reply, and hope for it to be positive.

Drackulis

OOC:(I just went along with the story, I don't really have a proper plan for the story, but I'll improvise as it goes on. I know there are many questions, and I'll fill them in as I go along. Smile POWER TO THE FORSAKEN!) Thanks!

Just noticed one of the other applications, and thought to make it clear that I made spaces, because I wanted to make it more clear for the reader.

Ok, the end letter was too short and I think I can do better.
Here:

Dear leaders of the Cult,
I have always wondered what the "Forgotten Shadow" was. I have always felt it in me, but I never knew what it was, so I hope to get answers from you.
I do not write out of enthusiasm to join your society. I write out of curiosity and a willingness to learn about you and the Forgotten Shadow.
But before I get to my request, I think it only polite for you to know something about me.
I was a farmer's boy once. I had always an interest in the supernatural. Never things ceased to amaze me. Not even the things I know were foul and corrupt. When I was 18, my father got killed by a pillaging horde of Gnomes from the south.
Ah, yes, we lived in Stormwind in those days, before the First War.
After my parent's pointless deaths I vowed to serve my King and Country, and became a knight. Soon I rose through the ranks, and was offered to be a Paladin of the Silver Hand. I accepted, and there I was, bearing the holy light on my shoulders.
What a fool I was.
The first wars came, I fought the orcs in the name of light, but when the King got assassinated by Garona Halforcen we knew there was no hope, so we fleed. I fleed. A Paladin of the Silver Hand fleed. That was a real discrace....
We got to Lordareon in hope of salvation. We did defeat the orcs at the end, but who knew what would follow. The Plague of Undeath came upon us and we, Paladins of the light combated it. I killed countless amounts of the rotting dead.
But I could not withstand the hordes of the mindless dead. I fell, but did not die. No, they captured me and tortured me.
A whisper came to my head, and I wondered. I wondered whether I was really a servant of the light, or all of these years I stood there, pretending. A chance arose to free me, and I took it.
I served my unknown master, by becoming an assassin of the shadows, and took out holy defenders of the light. I was mostly out of society, not making friends or meeting people. All I did was kill.
All those years I felt empty with the shadow filling me.
Recently I have lost contact with my master and I felt emptyness, but not filled with the Shadow.
I only felt dread and empty. Nothing filled my empty soul. I returned to killing, but that only made it worse. I had a hunger to kill, to fill my emty soul with something.
I did not undertsand.
That was when I heard about the Cult, and thought for it to make me full again.
That was my story. Now I ask you, dear Leaders of the Cult.
Will you accept me into your unholy society, or will you leave me to my misery.
I hope it is the first.
Yours Sincerely,
Drackulis

A fine application, well written. I only found one thing odd: "When I was 18, my father got killed by a pillaging horde of Gnomes from the south.", did you mean Gnolls, or rather...?

Anyhow, Pass, considering it is a minor part of your application!
