Why do you want to join the Cult?: Forsaken RP is the best RP. And after RP'ing with many of you for over a year, it only seems logical!
How did you come to learn about the Cult: I think it was from doing /who queries when stalking Rasonal.
Anything else you'd like us to know?: Have been RP'ing Raziev since vanilla, originally as a human warlock on The Venture Co, so I will post some lengthy backstory for those who are bored enough to read it below!

Subject: Dr. Raziev Blackborne

Profession(s): Former Archmage of the Kirin Tor, former House of Nobles representative, former military chemist and physician.
Known address(es): Residence in Dalaran (former), residence in Stormwind, residence in Theramore. Suspected residencies in Felwood, Desolace and Deadwind Pass.
Status: Deceased. (Body never recovered, after falling from a cliff in Felwood in combat with a coalition of Alliance forces, led by House Solaris).

Official criminal record:

Illegal and unsanctioned experiments upon and general abuse of orcs in Durnholde, Arathi and Lordamere Internment camps.
Sentence: Medical license suspended for malpractice, expelled from duties in the camps.

Court marshalled for unsanctioned demonic ritual in a failed attempt at summoning and binding several infernals to “aid the Alliance” during the Dark Portal blockade, resulting in 17 fatalities and 32 casualties of Alliance troops.
Sentence: Dishonorable discharge from active military duty, disbarred from practising magic, Kirin Tor status and privaledges revoked. Sentenced to 12 years internment in the stockades. Reduced to house arrest in Theramore after intense lobbying by the House of Lords.

Suspected offences:

Theft from Dalaran (former) libraries, including tomes pertaining to necromancy, demonology and nethermancy. Witness testimony.
Unsupervised and unlicensed entry to Karazhan, and the removal of several artifacts and tomes within. Witness testimony.
Suspected of causing the deaths of several Stormwind nobles to enhance his own position, including his twin brother Mikofilus Blackborne. Anecdotal evidence.
Suspected of liasing with members of the “Cult of the Damned”, due to frequent unlicensed trips into the Plaguelands. Witness testimony.

Performing ritual sacrifice, and illegal magic.
Partaking in cannibalism.
Kidnap and serial murder to facilitate ritual sacrifice.
Creation of illegal reagents and chemicals.

Manslaughter of Michelle Blackborne (wife, age 27), and Jade Blackborne (daughter, age , and several Theramore guard after a failed attempt at binding a Doomguard.

Being an agent of the Burning Legion, aiming to facilitate the summoning of the eredar Lord Kil'jaeden, and destruction of the Azeroth.


Subsequent investigations & Commentary:

After the 'friendly fire' incident at the Dark Portal, Dr. Blackborne was put under intense surveillance due to concerns over the source of his demonic knowledge. Dr. Blackborne had recorded meetings with a man whom is known to SI:7 as a Burning Legion agent, under the monicker of “Iskaroth”. It was assumed at this point that there was sufficient evidence to arrest Dr. Blackborne on suspicion of aiding the Burning Legion, and the rumoured cult known as “The Dead Rose”.

Prior to the first arrest attempt, Dr. Blackborne's failed an attempt at binding an entity known as a Doomguard, causing the violent deaths of his wife and child, several Theramore guardsmen, as well as several thousands in golds worth of property damage due to fire magic employed by the Doomguard.

Blackborne's basement seemed to have facilitated his continued research into demonology and necromancy, despite having been placed under house arrest for his actions at the Dark Portal blockade. The corpses of dozens littered the ground above a makeshift ritual circle and altar, many of which belonged to young children.

It was assumed that Dr. Blackborne had fled Theramore into Horde territory in the wake of his failed summoning attempt, but recent evidence suggests that he returned to Stormwind via Menethil Harbour and Ironforge, under a guise and false name, to receive tutoring and orders directly from the Burning Legion entity known as Iskaroth.

After repeated false leads, it was reported that a House Solaris member known as Quirina Yumenzuki had been lured and possibly abducted in Ashenvale by a hooded man, claiming to be injured and needing help, wearing robes befitting of Dr. Blackborne's description. Attempts by elf mystics to contact the kidnap victim remotely were successful, due to the reckless arcane experiments Dr. Blackborne had subjected her to.

It was reported that he had successfully severed her soul from her body, and had managed to keep her body alive as a soul-less golem. It was reported that Dr. Blackborne had promised an army of these will-less golems for the Burning Legion, as they would blend in to the populace, avoid undeath detection and be able to launch an unprecedented surprise attack that would otherwise be impossible to defend.

House Solaris trackers discovered Dr. Blackborne and a small group of orcish Legion cultists in an area of Desolace known as Shadowbreak Ravine, where he had subjected Yumenzuki's body and soul to systemic abuses, and had begun the creation of his army.

Blackborne fled north through Ashenvale, and into Felwood, and was met by a small coalition of Alliance forces. Cornered and outnumbered, Blackborne appropriated a devastating assault, drinking several spell power enhancing elixirs and using a corrupted moonwell to call forth a plethora of demonic entities. Despite taking heavy injuries, Blackborne refused to surrender, smashing the soul shard that held Yumenzuki's essence, sending it into the Twisting Nether. Blackborne was subsequently gunned down in a hail of arrows and sent careening off a cliff in northern Felwood, presumably to his death. Attempts to recover Blackborne's body have been unsuccessful.

Yumenzuki's essence was eventually recovered, and painstakingly restored into her body. Due to the horror of her experiences, Yumenzuki's mental state was irrevocably damaged.

Despite making an initial recovery, eventually she learned that she was to bear Blackborne's child. The trauma of this news too much to bear, Quirina Yumenzuki tragically committed suicide.

On-going investigations report:

Documents detained during the Undercity siege following the Wrathgate scandal make various references to a “Dr. Raziev Felborne”, a Forsaken apothecary under the command of the late Grand Apothecary Putress. “Felborne” was responsible for the design and construction of various components used in the Wrathgate blight. The name seems to suggest the grim possibility that Blackborne somehow survived the Felwood assault into undeath, and continues his work for the Burning Legion under the guise of a Forsaken apothecary. Lack of evidence to pursue further inquiry.
